Dr. Joe Peters has had a dual-track career - as a musician and as an AV-IT Associate Director at a local university. Both careers are now merged into services and research for new technologies for sustaining traditional and indigenous musics. He has a Masters in Music from the University of the Philippines and a Ph.D from the University of Western Australia. Over the last three decades he has managed many major ASEAN music projects, including the ASEAN Korea Traditional Orchestra where he was the inaugural Co-Chairman till early 2011. He was External Examiner for the University of Wales till 2011, Currently, he serves many international organizations: Liaison Officer for the International Council for Traditional Music, Committee Mixte Member of RILM (Repertoire International for Music Literature), and the Asian Co-ordinator for Latitude South 35. In Singapore he is the Musical Director of the NUS Rondalla, an advisor to the National ARTS Council, Singapore Indian Orchestra and the MusicSG project of the Singapore National Library Board.
